It's kind of about relationships and me, and about what it is to live with a heavy heart and experience things. I take things very harshly as a sensitive soul. The show’s fourth season sees Issa’s eponymous character and her girlfriends figuring out their place in the world as they navigate their early 30s. Everyone is evolving — whether they're becoming a mom or really committing to a lover or pursuing a new career — and the new season explores how growth often changes the way we see ourselves and our relationships. It's weird because I'm nocturnal and ... my bedroom doesn't even have a window, so I'm always kind of in this dark space when I'm making music. [But that also] affects me and [how I perceive] criticism of me. I luckily haven't had a ton, because I haven't been out there enough for people to attack, but...TV: I live with my sister and my mother and my two dogs and my dad, and so I have a pretty normal life for a 12-year-old, but then you throw in all this other stuff and there's just a lot of pressure. I'm not going to be like, "Oh, woe [is] me, people know who I am," but it's pretty difficult. But it's also being able to be a voice for people who don't have a voice and encouraging them to use their voice for good.SW:That's great.LPW:
