House Intelligence Committee Chariman Devin Nunes (R-CA), got President Trump's approval to declassifya GOP memo before the Senate Intelligence Committee in a closed-door hearing. During his testimony (and in an 11-page written statement) he described his contacts and meetings with Russians during the presidential campaign and transition into the White House, and denied any wrongdoing. It was reported two months prior that Kushner is under investigation because of his interactions with Russians. After the hearing, Trump’s son-in-law and senior advisor made a rare publicspeechoutside the White House. Special counsel Robert Mueller teamed up with New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman to investigate former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort’s financial transactions.
