Without a doubt, the most breathtaking moment of the night came by way of “Black Swan.” Picking up from “Blue & Grey,” the transition was the definition of cinematic. The blue and grey outfits were replaced by all black ‘fits and BTS were joined by numerous backup dancers on stage for an orchestral intro. Set to the mesmerizing sound of ruffling feathers, the dancers’ formation behind each posing member mimicked swan wings. After the intense intro, the members kept up the pace for the performance itself, as the stage became filled with black feathers, which made for an endearing talk segment afterward. “Black Swan” is one of the strongest pieces in BTS’s repertoire, and this performance proves it.— SDThe Transition We Didn’t Know We Needed BTS are. While it’s not uncommon for BTS to perform “Fire” at their concerts, nothing could prepare us for the swag overload that came from the remix of “Fire” that tapped into elements of west coast Hip-Hop. The septet continued to demand that we keep our eyes on them while performing “Dope,” with the cameras close to their faces so we could see their powerful aura up close and personal.
