The media hasn’t historically been known for inclusive, authentic representation of either the disabled experience, which is somethingEverything, Everything I’m white, and I recognize the privilege that comes along with that; while it’s rare for me to see disabled characters like me in the media, it’s even rarer for disabled people of color to see themselves represented. There is even a hashtag movement,#DisabilityTooWhite the organization, much like they did to the Wobblies decades earlier. Even as recently as 2017,a research project on the Black Panthers that he supports the very protections he’s currently suing to take away. On November 6, we have an opportunity to take a stand with our vote. Together, we can show that we want quality, affordable healthcare — not another politician who says one thing and does another.
